If you need a little inspiration, look no further than the iconic title designs of Saul Bass, who was responsible for titles for some of the 20th Century’s most famous and recognizable films, including North by Northwest, Vertigo, West Side Story, and even Goodfellas and Casino. This video, edited by Ian Albinson, was created to celebrate the release of Jennifer Bass and Pat Kirkman’s Saul Bass: A Life in Film & Design. It’s hard to imagine these films with any other design.

Visitors to Flyabit are greeted with a simple text box inviting them to “choose a destination.” Any combination of words will do. We tried “statedmag.com” out of curiosity and were met with a speedily-rendered grid of images and links surrounding stated’s online activity. Not just our own content, but also others’ links to the site, tweets, maps, photos, and more. We were surprised to see some results we didn’t even know existed.
