“Between 10 and 5” offers the South African art community a space to share between 10 and 5 pieces of their work, providing a showcase apart that’s not another agency or freelance site. You’ll plenty of great work to explore.
The inventive video for Kalle Mattson’s “Thick As Thieves” recounts the history of the world in arts and crafts. Gorgeous direction and animation from Kevin Parry and a talented crew. When you’re done, be sure to check out the storyboard video that follows.
The Fox Is Black, formerly Kitsune Noir, is the pet project of Los Angeles-based designer Bobby Solomon. As he shares on his about page, “My friends and family were never as excited as I was about the things I would find so the site has become a way to share these ideas with likeminded people.” It’s continued to grow since its 2007 debut, with contributors covering all things art, design (including a nice collection of downloadable wallpapers), and music.
